Yeah, Frank, he's noticed her :). He's actually starting to like her! That will only last until she tries to scratch the furniture though, lol :D.

That's so sweet of you to do that. Don't you wish you could save them all. I have so many ferals outside and I do the best I can to feed them and give them shelter. :grouphug:

Thanks for that! It reminds me of the cat who adopted me in the eighties. I opened the apartment door and in she ran. I put up signs in neighborhood but she was a full on stray. She was SO skinny. When she put on weight, I was happy. Then she put on more weight. Then I realized she was PREGNANT. She had a litter of 7 kittens in my closet. I found homes for every single one of them but WHAT an adventure she turned out to be. I named her 'Thursday' (the day we met).

Came back here to check on the kitty and saw Becca's post. You are not going to believe this Becca, but a friend of ours rescued a kitty from the shelter that was going to be ''put down'' that very same day. It was a Thursday, so her kitty's name is da da daaaaaaaaa THURSDAY!!

Now, that's a coincidence... but one w/a happy ending.

From one animal luver to another~~ kudo's Joel~~~

Cool Joelle! I think we are elite platinum frequent flyer members at our vet's office. Our file is about 2-3 inches thick from all the strays we have taken in and found homes for. We currently only have 4, but at one point we had two strays drop a dual litter of 12 kittens in the bottom of the closet to add to the 4 we already had!

I know how you feel about their care Joelle...we just had to have our 2nd oldest (15 years old) put down because she either had FIP or cancer (neither fixable). But we spent nearly $5k about a year ago on the oldest (we now call him miracle kitty) nursing him back after his system tried to shut down.

He is 16 years old and diabetic and got to the point over about a 3 day period where he was basically comatose. When I asked the vet if there was any chance he would be a normal happy cat in 30 days, she basically said we were hoping for a miracle. We decided to give him one more night to try to pull through, and miraculously he was up walking around the vet clinic 2 days later. That was a year ago, and he was just chasing our 5 yr old female around the couch on the new hardwood floors a couple of days ago. I still can't really believe how well he has done since he recovered.
