Loving my new job in engineering. I am quite busy studying for the FE exam in October.
Dad is doing great too. Getting enough sleep and exercise are my biggest challenges. My dog is getting to be very old and slightly incontinent. I miss having him hog the bed, as he can't jump that high anymore. |

If I went back to work it would have to be a job with a variety of duties and a low pressure environment - no speed work or quotas since I would try to beat the norm...
![]() I was able to do some jobs while on restrictions but it didn't work out then because I needed to have the off work time to get some healing done. I probably could do fine with the jobs now. Or at least part time or short work weeks... Receptionist / office assistant / misc data/sorting/scanning documents Security of course none of these are high paying... What kind of jobs are interesting to you Trix?

Trying to work at 3 pt jobs. Two are 1099 as special investigations unit, the more recent, from attorney referral for P.I. work. That actually is the lest stressfull and more in my control.
Child advocate for endangerment situations. The other employer, Two weeks ago I had two tractor trailer accidents in one day, escorting for chemical testing for their drivers and one was full investigation, the other the tractor burnt to the ground....I was exhausted and flared. They are urgent dispatches, unlike my PI work. DH employer went under last year and we can not make it on the UC check paying all the medical. So I had the stronger ability to earn income. Still on SSDI using my ticket to work. DH drives me. Grandson is getting so tall, and smart. Kindergarden in the fall. ![]() My youngest is almost 15, October, she was only 2 when I first joined the old BT forum. She is still home schooling cyber, 9th grade and no desire to go back to school, especially high school. Still not sleeping well, the anxiety, tonight she woke up screaming and flaying her limbs in terror. My dil recently unfriended her and made some serious hateful comments toward her. DIL has had issues since Memorial Day. Not sure dil can pull out of it. Have been so close for so long, and the level of innability to make a stable decision has just gone now for months replaced by anger and minipulation, lies and deciet toward all that love her. Heartbreaking, Like doing all you can for your child and they still make poor decisions or act innapropriatly.... Other then that I am the glue and should get my butt to bed, not staying up all night, Hugs to all. and welcome to the new folks, di

Hi there fellow TOSers!
![]() I have been battling some serious depression since April. Bad enough to push me to hire a psychologist - my LCSW wasn't helping very much and my weekly Group had morphed into less of a chronic pain focus and more of a OCD/Hoarding/BiPolar group. I think that groups were merged due to financial constraints. Anyhow, I was getting worse - not better. The new PhD has all the specialties I need, including chronic pain and disability. After 2 visits, my depression is nearly half what it was!! Summer and early fall are usually good for me pain-wise, but this year has been awful. Pain levels are up and I have had little to no relief. I suspect that the weather is 50% to blame and my stress must be the other 50%. I discovered 2 new allergies: Laytex; and Percocet made by a particular manufacturer. Only 1 pharmacy in town carries the percocet that does not use a cheap-crappy binder. I bought a condo in February using the proceeds from SSD. My daughter is living in it while she's in college. I use it as a 'getaway' place. I take care of my 86yo Mom, in early stages of dementia. Life is hard right now. ![]() Anne

It's tough when they start to forget things, and then after time everyone becomes a stranger to them, it has to be scary for them too.
My parents & family went through it with my grandmother. ![]()
