Default Surgery tomorrow morning - i'm a bit nervous

having my rib removed tomorrow morning. I've had quite a few surgeries in the past but i'm more worked up about this one than any other. this is the first that could get rid of my worst symptoms.

i'm fighting being overly optimistic but it's hard. 14 years of pretty much constant pain has had a huge affect on my life (understatement!!). it could all start to get better tomorrow. or worse.

anyway, i'm spending the night in the hospital. i'll report back as soon as i'm able. my fingers are crossed...

May you recover Godspeed too.

It'll be ok... after a while.

Think positive. Think strong thoughts...

I hope all goes perfectly for both of you.

Take extra care during the recovery time, be gentle with yourself and cautious about trips , falls, and or even car rides..

Good luck! I'm 5 weeks post op rib removal myself. I was very resistant to surgery- rescheduling it 2x bc of cold feet - and now, so glad I did it. Take it easy and remember that it will take time to heal bc it is a major surgery but also try to notice the small little changes that hint towards recovery - thinking about you and sending healing vibes! Keep us updated.

So good to hear you're doing well after surgery.
