Precisions here :



The more you contract, the more the gravity-unloading effect is important.

1) feet are flat on the floor. Legs are relaxed.
2) breath with stomack
3) shoulders are fully supported
4) Don't move the head. The ball support the head "like an ergonomic pillow".
.It is important to maintain the natural "C" curve in the neck for easing gravity.

In human, muscle unloading (by gravity or by prolonged bed rest/immobilisation) decrease strength then induce atrophy.
It seem that anterior scalene is very adaptive, so it make sense.

Default Both hands extremely mottled after Brugger pose??

Thanks for putting this on. I used to do it years ago when I could actually get to the gym. A good reminder of an effective gentle stretch.
However I'm still recovering from rib excision op so will prehaps wait until I've had my follow-up with my surgeon in 4 weeks before attempting it!

My advice : do it 1 time, for 2 to 5 minutes, every two hours.

It seem that, the effect of 2 minutes of unloading persist for 2 hours.
So if we always decrease anterior scalene muscle tone, it may atrophy.


It has worked for me. For the vein compression.

OMG TODAY ! i was doing the exercice yesterday and today every 2 hours, 2-5 minutes each.

10 minutes ago i relaxed my mind, and then my forearm twitched like hell !

SCARY, but all my symptoms had gone again ! i think it's very good

Hi boytos,
your stretching tips are great but watch that you don't OVER stretch!!!
It sounds as though you may be beginning to make your nerves alittle angry/agitated?
Maybe reduce your exercise to x3 a day instead of every 2 hours????
Just a suggestion..... Your muscles are obviously trying to tell you something.

I must take some risks, tos is too debilitating.

Actually i prefere to die by trying things rather than having tos for life..

Actually thats true..... I'm recovering post first rib excision op and having to remind myself to take it abit easy BUT on the other hand, most importantly to keep it moving so that I don't tighten up! Everything in moderation I guess.
