I understand your concern about the meds. If it's contraindicated for people with breathing problems then I think you have to wait until that resolves.
I often get partial and sometimes full relief from doing this:
-- heat my neck (typically with the carex bed buddy back/neck wrap)
-- neck stretches, primarily for the front of the neck
-- first rib adjustment with strap -- hey you don't have one so you can skip this step!
Takes me at least 20 mins and sometimes 40.
Good luck!

First rib adjustment......... OMG, you did make me laugh!!!!!! Nice one Chroma

Ha ha.
I always say , if you don't laugh you'll cry.... right?
A good blob of Tiger Balm and stretches works for me.
With regards to the anti dizziness meds I really do think I'm gonna give them a miss.... I've not even collected them from the chemist yet so I guess I've unsubconsciously answered my own question about how I feel on taking them. I'm not willing to take anything that could possibly bring on such horrid side effects if I react to them. So if I have a dizzy spell, I'll just have to rest where ever I am and not worry about people staring at me. If the need comes to stick my head between my legs and breath deep.... so be it. I've been in worse positions!

LOL
Take care and hope the pain management keeps up.
