hmm, I just was pressing around in that area and found some definite spots....didn't realize I had any sore spots there.
But I was cutting, splitting & stacking firewood a good part of the last 2 days. So that might be where they came from. Tomorrow is my rest day ... I'll work on those spots, there might be more by then anyway... I'm also seeing how long I can go before needing to make a chiro appt, it's been since August, if I can do OK with as needed adjustments only, then I'm going to try some acupuncture for overall health balancing.

I think it's the way I sleep or breathe while sleeping maybe? I believe those muscles attach to ribs. Just my best guess. But I feel it especially if I hunch my back or end over aggressively. Once I work the area with a ball and stretch it's okay. Until the next day.

Whether it was the extra oxygen or a different set of muscle groups being used I don't know.... but I'm not a happy bunny. OMG.... I'm 38 and feeling the effects of a pensioners workout: DEPRESSING. I gave alittle press to the Serratus Posterior Superior muscle to see if there was any reaction and got a burning sensation on the inside of my thumb. Not sure if it was from the actual muscle or from the c-spine as I felt it when I pressed nearer to the spine. |

Tai Chi has a lot of arm movements and combined with everything else, engages a lot of the torso. For a healthy person or someone with different types of health problems, this is fine. But for TOS, this can be problematic.
I had to start with 10 mins of seated Tai Chi for seniors and cripples, and build up from there. I used the Dr. Lam DVD that someone on here recommended. Found it on Amazon. As much as I like Chinese martial arts, I would point a TOS person to focus on a "Fixing You" book and/or an Egoscue book. You can add the Tai Chi in after making progress with those. HTH |

I did crack it ( whiplash ) quite bad while jumping off a very high wall ( I was abit of a livewire!!!!!). Whether it was youth or what but I seemed to recover from it????? I suppose I can honestly say that I noticed serious issues some 6 years back which progressed from Raynauds, then Carpal tunnel, shoulders etc..... you know the pattern. LLLLLLLOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGG time. And I only received my TOS diagnoses this time last year, so I had 5 years of running backwards and forwards to my GP...... Very frustrating! |
