Default Too far away

The ultrasound I had showed what I already knew. My right shoulder is a mess. I knew my own body.

It showed TOS in the right shoulder including hyper-inflamtion, extensive scarring, tares, arthritis, swelling, nerves bundled instead of straight. Right shoulder is really bad.

TOS is also in my left, but not as bad. I also have bi-lateral carpal tunnel.

DR. recommeneded therapy, but his office is an hour and a half away. I can't drive that far plus my wife can't take me all the time. The therapist even said if I didn't come consitently it was a waste of time. No kidding! Plus I had probably near 100 therapies before that didn;t help. It made it feel worse. It's negative for me. I basicaly refused. Has anyone else done this? It is my body and way too far. (3 hours driving). I do get injections and they help a lot.

Rough news, and that distance to get to therapy is not helpful , seems it would offset the benefits, plus the time & gas...

I have bought myself a few things that seem to help, for home therapy, I don't know if any of these might be of help for any of the pain/symptoms that you have though.

Got most of these from Amazon, but thy are on other sites too.
I bought a little ultrasound about 100.00 - helps w/dh's knee injury too

Digital IF stim - under 100.00

Light Relief Infrared Pain Relief Device +/- 80.00

and my far infrared heating pad that I've had for many years now- I do think it does more than what a regular heating pad does- I have both types and always feel better longer than with the reg/moist heat pad.

If pain is the one of main things for you might even look into a TENS machine - they will help to block the pain signals.
They are on Amazon too, or your Ins might cover it with a drs Rx??

Which heating pad do you use? The drive was a total of 117 miles. A bit too far for me. If I drove it I would be in pain for days.

I have the Thermotex Platinum Infrared Therapy Series 17" x 15" Inches Heating Pad.
I didn't have an Amazon or Ebay account back when I bought it so didn't price check on those.
But they seem to be about the same price as I paid , but I didn't see the other brands back then, so those might be just as good.

If you need something fairly flexible the Thermotex won't work very well, the size I have is made up of 3 solid bars under the padding. I usually just have mine on the back of the recliner and lean my upper back or lower back against it in the evenings.
Husband uses it on his knee that he hurt this summer.

The other brands seem to have a more flexible look to them. Some of them are larger too.
Amazon has a pretty good amount of reviews on each product so it helps to read those too.

I use my heating pad quite a lot, too. Definitely helps, especially my shoulders.
