Default stellate ganglion

what does stellate ganglion pain feel like

i have mild achey pain on my left side right in the center of my neck where my collar bone comes in. could this be from a tight scm? when i push it..it feels inflamed

it feels like i have a billion trigger points or just bundles of muscle around my left clavicle too. but theyre HUGE

Things that help me:

-- When I get huge muscle tension underneath my left clavicle, I roll it out with a lacrosse ball from the center to the outside. Maybe 10 - 15 reps. Very lightly. The first time I did it, I used too much pressure.

-- Diazepam for muscle relaxation.

-- Cold pack. 15 on, 15 off, 15 on.

-- Muscle meditation which I have described in a previous post. One particularly bad day, I did this on my SCM with no improvement until after 20 mins the whole thing suddenly released.

Good luck.

I dont think you are going to have actual feeling from your sellate ganglion itself. It is so small and almost against your spine. I saw your post about rsd earlier. Your stellate Ganglion controls is part of your sympathetic nervous system. When it is inflamed or causing problems, it will result in pain much like tos, along with hypersensitivity, sweating, burning pain, strange nail growth, along with many other issues. Blocks can provide some relief, but if you have tos pain as well, it will not give you 100 percent relief. Many times crps is actually mistaken as tos.
Here is a good website to visit http://rsdrx.com/CRPSABSTRACT.htm
Cheers,
Jay

Nails grow VERY fast for me, and have grooves in them, also break off in chips easily. (no its not lack of calcium)

oh thank you for clearing that up! i have disgusting nails now. but it's not bc theyre growing super fast. my pt noted my nails once LOL but its only bc i am in so much pain that i forget to cut them like i used to. i dont see how anyone with tos keeps up their appearance.

minor injury to the small blood vessels due to hypermobility of the joints (Ehrler Danlos Syndrome),
is interesting, but i still dont thnk i have it. i dont think my pt could give me a fair dx with my magnesium being so low

so this i think this is just..regular tos pain around my clavicle

that area itches too. ice def helps. i think i pushed it too much though. back to just i ce

side notes

i am getting mild panic attacks, like palpitations that last for just a few seconds. i thought it was my blood sugar but i think its my ehlers danlos/autonomic nervous system messing with me

or hormones

i started taking a mult-mineral. i think to be on the safe side people should take this in addition to magnesium. only thing that sucks is it has a lot of calcium in it which i do not need.
