Too sore to type much...
Had my right side sub cervical rib removed, 1st rib resection and removal of tight sOmething or other that was bothering issues. Things went well, glad to be home so early (had op on Wednesday got home Sunday) Had the left side done 4 months ago, which had been bothering me again, not sure if it's the pain meds or the rest but it's felinv much better! Time will tell. I am very glad I didn't have the complications like last time! It was quite traumatic, so glad for a smoother ride!! That's all for now ![]() |

Thanks all
![]() I am really struggling with pain... Think I am going to see my gp to try and get me to where I can manage it. At this point last time I was still in hosp. This is a difficult journey! Any advice on minimising risk of scar tissue would be much appreciated if anyone can. Phew. Take care all. ![]() |

I'm not an expert on scar tissue by any means, you might ask dr or PT person to check for sure, but perhaps gentle ROM /movements after incision sites are healed...???
![]() Versus being afraid to move the area?? basically once the incision site is healed it makes sense to me that slow and smooth movements should be good, nothing extreme or quick of course. But check w/ doc/PT to make sure. Drink plenty of fluids as tissues will tend to get "sticky" if not fully hydrated. Sometimes the adhesions/scar tissue symptoms show up later, so keeping regular with the movement is good. And it seems that some people just happen to make more or less than others.

![]() Grit your teeth and hang on in there!!!! I agree with Jo*mar re: hydration. Try to take your multivitamin supplements such as Glucosamine Sulphate, Vitamin E etc, anything that can help boast cell regeneration. Oh, also pineapple juice is meant to be very good as it contains a high level of vit C and bromelain, which is great for healing!!!!!! ![]() Do gentle stretches to prevent tightening up and take it easy!!!!! ![]() Best wishes x |

Thanks again all
![]() Pain is getting easier, still very restricted by it. Still on pretty strong pain killers, they help but would really like to stop soon. Ugh, this is tough. Hope everyone is doing ok! ![]() |
