Hey anyone know a good neurologist who specializes in diagnosing or treating NTOS? Preferably in Ny Nj Pa Ct area. My workers comp doctor gave me authorization to see a neurologist this time not a vascular surgeon....I know some neurologists diagnose TOS, but I'm having a really hard time finding one. Another question....has anyone ever experienced a sort of ticking sound when your neck/head/shoulder are in certain positions. The sound is in sync with my pulse and it kind of sounds like its coming from my neck maybe, it's like a squirting/ticking sound. Weird. Happens a lot while I'm sitting at my desk in a forward position. Like right now typing. So let me stop...lol.

I have a great neurologist, but my experience is that they are not typically the ones to diagnose or treat the ntos. Many of them don't even believe in it.

When my neck muscles get tight and even more so when they were in spasms, I had a chugging/whooshing pulse sound.
It was worse for me when tring to sleep, the constant whooshing kept me awake. Mine did go away after the spasms & constant tightness go resolved. But it did take a while, and it may come back at times.
