Default shoulder questions

so in resting position my shoulders look fairly "normal" just bony but moving they do this

sometimes it wings less, i can control but fatigue really easily.

i had a ncv of my nerves median/ulnar and they all came back normal but i was wondering, since the ulnar and median go up thru my bp..does this mean my bp is okay too? 2 years ago i had a ncv AND emg, i dont know what musclse they tested but i assume they came back normal, they definitely didnt test my serratus anterior.

back when my shoulder was way worse, i went to a sports doc and he said it was a "little winged"..and didnt make a big deal about it and neither did any of the physical therapists i went to i guess bc i have normal range of motion and strength (??) somehow.

what really drives me nuts is my hands are both equally numb, youd think my right would be way more numb.

any advice? i strengthen daily and it definitely helps. theres patches on my right arm that seem kind of numb.

Hi. Ncs of bp or cspine is very hard to test due to all the structures in the area, so I was told by a Dr. He said if the Median. N. In wrist is normal it means the comp is coming from up above. Same w ulnar n in elbow. I was also told just Bc u have a neg. Emg for carpal tunnel u can still have CT
Both my hands /fingers have been very numb siince Aug I had 2 ncs tests both normal.
It cant be from my tos this only effects pinky. & ring finger.
Hope this gives u some answers

thanks, it does!

it kind of confirms by suspicions about tos. ive read everyone here complain about their pinky and little finger the most, pretty consistently. even people with cervical ribs etc. mine are numbish but not as numb.

when they did the ncs they only tested my wrist and elbow area. and then the mri of my neck was normal, the "strength" in my hands appears normal but i know something is wrong. my arms and hands are extremely fatigued. the neuro said maybe small fiber neuropathy but ive heard that wouldnt make my hands this tired.

i had a stereoid injection in my carpal tunnel once and it didnt do anything either.

i might go to another neuro or physiatrist. this was at emory which is discouraging...its not easy to find someone who thinks outside of the box and isnt a scam artist or a quack

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds to me you are in early stages of TOS. I had the same symptoms in the beginning, and it's been 20yrs later. My situation has gotten worse. I know about Emory in Atlanta, and let me tell u, there is not one doctor in Atlanta that could help me with TOS. My first surgery was at Grady's, with the Morehouse School of Medicine. It was a very bad experience. They didn't want to see me anymore. So here I am 20yrs later, and my situation has gotten worse. Please, please do not go to a psychiatrist, they sent me to one, and he told me there is nothing wrong with me mentally. It was just a diversion, because they didn't want to help. A neurologist is not going to help. They are going to want to do more test, and prescribe more pills. Trust me, I have all kinds of stories. My suggestion to u is to find a Thoracic Surgeon. Please do not let this get worse like mines, and don't get frustrated. Keep a level head, stay relax and peaceful, because u will find someone who will at least try and help u. Please be careful, because some of the doctors are only trying to make a buck.

Take care and thanks for sharing. May GOD bless u and heal u.

The arm fatigue part could be narrowing of that subclavian artery or vein. I have severe narrowing of sub artery and get heavy tired feeling in forearm & hand mostly when raising arm up.
Where do u live? I recommend u find a tos specialist. Neurologists usually don't do proper tests to dx tos. Just give u nerve meds & emg s that's what they do.
