Thanks so much everyone! I have bilateral neurogenic TOS and have tried physical therapy for four months now with no relief - it has actually made things worse. I have also had Botox to scalenes and pec minor with minimal relief. At this point I can't work or even hold my one year old son. I met with Dr. Donahue and he did a ct scan that showed elongated transverse processes of c7 and said that this anatomical abnormality would make it unlikely that I would improve with conservative therapy esp since I have already tried it. I am waiting to hear on a surgery date.

I was hoping for those who have had surgery with Dr. Donahue if I could talk to you. I am terrified of the surgery but at this point I don't have many options as I am running out of time to return to work and this has caused severe marital strain. I have read the forum posts about Dr. Donahue but hearing from someone would be deeply appreciated and so helpful. Thank you so much!

Robert Thompson at Washington University in St. Louis
Dean Donahue at MGH in Boston

Anyone who has been operated on for TOS and has experience with these surgeons or other surgeons...can you please contact me and let me know how your surgery went? Did you have complications? Did you recover from your TOS?

Any advice is deeply appreciated!
Hi
I had sx for 8 yrs bf being dx. So 3 mos. is not long for tos, which is controversial/very hard to dx. My advice would be to take it slow, get has many opinions as u can & Emg/Ncs tests which usually are normal w tos, but u could have compression at the elbow or nerve comp. at c-spine. I had an Ulnar n. release in 2008 and C-5/6 discectomy/fushion in 2011, and a shoulder decompression in 2010. Then I found Bilateral tos w/extra C-Ribs w Dr D. I found in on my own. I was shocked I actually had this problem.
Ill finish later dont want to lose this!
