Shelley! I hope you recover quickly and that the surgery helps things out. I'm sorry that I didn't realize (beforehand) that surgery was yesterday.

Guys,
I spoke with Shelley on Saturday and her surgery was postponed. I haven't spoken with her since then, but that is the last I heard. Peggy |

HI guys,
I am back home. Got home yesterday afternoon. Yes I wrestled with this back and forth whether it was the right thing to do especialy givent he adrenal fatugue problem that came to light. But I saw Dr J Monday morning and we were talking about it and even he said that he thought since I had a goiter that it was putting pressure on the scalenes and causing some of the problems. So I made a snap judgement and did it. Either way my thryoid was very bad and I hada goiter that was choking me half the time. And they could not control it with meds like other thyroids it kept going hype...hyper. The doc said yesterdat it was big. ANd I have to say I do have relief from the TOS nerve feelings. Only time will tell whether it was the right decision. Cant put it back now and liek I said it was going bad anyway. And although I feel it bit under the weather ther isnothing pulingat my brachial plexus and that is nice. Hugs to all of you for or wishes and especially to Kit Kat (jo) and Alison for visiting. My hubby loved both of you. OK back to bed for me. |

So glad things went fine Shelley, now the speedy healthy recovery.
The pressure on the plexus I bet was a big contributing factor...Gee, would be nice during TOS surgery if this is an issue they could locate, rule in or out its removal and do it all at one time! Feel perkier soon Di Oh, Italian ice too....

Hi Shelley,
![]() I am glad everything went well and hope it continues. Sounds like the surgery was done in a timely manner. You brought up a subject I wish more people knew about, or if they do, would talk about it on a post here so others can understand what is happening to them....that is Adrenal Fatigue. I was diagnosed with that by a very astute PCP. When I went to a QME he poked fun at me, both in his office and in his report. He asked me what Adrenal Fatigue is, then wouldn't give me a chance to answer. It is not a simple one-line explanation. So many people on this forum who have severe fatigue would love to find a cure for it. Thyroid is only a piece of the puzzle. Adrenal Fatigue is another piece, for those of you who have studied the HPA axis, you'll know what I mean. You'll better understand what part the immune system has in all this ![]() Unfortunately, because of my WC claim, I had to go off the treatment as the defense was looking for anything to blame TOS and RSD on. Shelly...........I'm sorry for hijacking your post ![]() I really just wanted to say I'm glad you are OK. ![]() >"Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome affects an estimated 80% of adults at some point in their lives. Yet, it is one of the most under-diagnosed illnesses in the U.S. Often, patients go from doctor to doctor trying to find out why they feel exhausted and sick. Too often they’re told that there is nothing wrong with them or, worse, they are made to feel like hypochondriacs."< |
