That's great. It takes a lot of patience with legal matters. Your attorney makes a big difference in your outcome. BOL

Could have been worse though. Wrist showed swelling and was almost broken too. |

Right now I'm terrified of falling again. I have to get more X-rays in 4 weeks to see how it is healing but have to wait and see if it makes nerve damage worse. EMG in future will see how bad it gets.

This morning I had the heartbreaking experience of having to say goodbye to a friend and coworker who will lose his battle with cancer. Sadly at 30 years old, there is nothing more the doctors can do for him, and his life here on earth will soon be over.
It was a privilege to be able to tell him what he meant to me and to thank him for everything he had done for me. I was able to tell his girlfriend and parents about my TOS surgery and how he was so patient with me when I returned to work and that he wouldnt let me lift a finger. It was so liberating to be able to tell him (and his family) everything and let them know how special he is and how giving and supportive he was to me - and most of all to say "thank you". Take a moment today to say thank you and hug someone who supports you with your TOS. |

Mtmom, I feel for you more than you know. Your story hits close to home... last week my good friend's mother lost her battle with cancer and today I had to support my best friend while she made the painful decision to let the vet end her cat's suffering (also cancer).
What you had to do today is heartbreaking. You have my hug for sure because you support your friend and his family in his losing battle. You're in my thoughts.

Good day all my TOS friends!
First, want to offer my sympathy for billy, thursday and mtnmom. While I don't post as often as I used to, I do lurk and lift up all of us and our issues in prayer on a regular basis. Not just saying it - I really do. Today I... get to break in a new GP. Whoopdie-doo. I have all my prev. medical records ready, my operative reports, x-ray eval's and list of meds. It's intimidating - and I'm afraid it will make the wrong impression on this Dr. - she's on the same floor as the pain clinic, who I saw once. I'm hoping to get a physician who's 'in the know'... and not one who has a "15 minute limit with each patient". wish me luck! Anne

Thanks Jo, it went OK I guess.
She wanted to deny me valium: "I don't prescribe psych. meds", to which I asked "what psyche meds? These are for nerve pain!" And wanted to deny me percocet: "I don't treat patients who want escalating amounts of narcotics." but when I told her how little I take and WHY I take them and WHEN I take them, she got all OK with it. She really seemed under duress with the whole prescription thing. Otherwise she was VERY nice and way efficient. I got bloodwork and an EKG. have a painless evening, and thanks for allowing me to vent!

Anne- I hope that the visit to the new doctor went well.... I moved about 8 months ago, and am just figuring out which doctor I like here as my primary care doc. I still go see my pain mgmt doctor every 2 months or so, but they are 3 hours away.
I haven't been around much lately- been sick on and off (mostly on) for the last 2 months. Work has been super busy, and i;ve been paying less attention to posture, and am 1.5 weeks into a flare. i can't stay comfortable for more than a few minutes. oh well. i hope everyone is doing well!
