I have struggled with bouts of nausea on and off since my concussion. I had a few good months with very little nausea, but now it is back and is quite debilitating.
Do any of you still deal with this? If so, have you found ways to manage it, medically or otherwise? It truly is exhausting ![]() I haven't seen a GI dr yet but am considering it....but no doubt it will take time to an appt, get tests done, etc. Trying to look at my meds to see if they are a factor. Thanks for your input! |

I still get bouts of nausea that tend to arise when i get headaches...it's a sort of groggy drunken feeling. Not fun.

Nausea was my first symptom and one of the worst for the first couple of months. I had a prescription for zofran that helped some, but boy was I glad when the nausea went away. So sorry you're still dealing with it.

Been dealing with low grade Nausea for 2 + years. Yes it is another terrible symptom. Pepto Bismol helps some what. Nothing else so far.

Had no nausea for the first 3 months, then experienced a spell of stomachaches off and on for a couple of weeks. It was really annoying, but the problem seemed to resolve itself as my diet improved (I was eating poorly for a while before I moved back to my apartment - not sure if this was the sole cause, though. I think the PCS and/or my recent lack of exercise may have played a role, as I've never really had GI problems before).

I have had nausea off and on, at least several days a week, since date of accident (April 2010). Not as severe or often as early on but definitely still part of my not so normal life.

Hi Nolefan,
Ginger root worked well for me to ease nausea. I bought raw ginger in the store, peeled about a one inch section, sliced it, and boiled it in 4 cups of water for about 15-20 minutes. Just pour into a mug after that. I also would put slices of raw ginger in my mouth for a couple of hours. That seemed to help too if you can handle the flavor. Phenegran is a good med for nausea but it does make you tired. Good luck with your nausea. It is the worst feeling being unsettled. Kevin |

You can also buy ginger tea, for example, Traditional Medicinals "Organic Ginger Aid" tea. My naturopath recommended this product for indigestion/stomachaches.

I'm struggling with this too, it's horrible. Can suggest cups of strong peppermint tea (made with 2bags) and make sure you have protein at every meal - mine is always worse when I don't.
