I have not seen the conditions you mentioned discussed on this board. It does not mean we can not be supportive and helpful with your symptoms.

There are plenty of people who have problems with mental confusion. We have lots to ways to cope and work-around these symptoms.

Tell us more about your symptoms and maybe we can help you.

Thanks guys.

Mark, I have almost every neuro-psychiatric symptom imaginable.
The list would seem endless, probably pages long.

My brain and thoughts are a constant chaotic mess. Racing thoughts, confusion, disorganized thoughts, trouble processing things, remembering things, concentrating on things, organizing things, irrational fears and OCD, repetitive and obsessive thoughts, depression, irritability, agitated, restlessness, insomnia, headaches, anxiety/nervousness/panic/terror feelings, socially inept, trouble retrieving proper words/vocabulary, difficulty forming sentences, stuttering, mental delays in processing, brain fog, rapid sudden and drastic mood swings, was diagnosed as schizophrenic by Psych doctors.

Does this sound like a classic case of PCS, or does it sound like it's mainly from another source.

By the way, does this site not allow you to edit your own posts ?
Every other forum I've used gives you that option, but I don't see it here.

Sure it does Chandler. Unfortunately your initial posts have been waiting for a moderator to approve and so at times not not have appeared on the board within the allotted time frame, but if you look to the bottom right of your post you should now see ...edit, reply thanks, etc.

Click edit and it should be able to change your words.

Should you ever wish to edit after the time for editing has passed, you only have to contact a moderator, and we will do it for you.

I hope that helps.

Chandler,

Do you have anybody who can observe you sleeping? Most of the symptoms you list can be caused by chronic severe sleep apnea as it ravages your brain from night after night of oxygen deprivation. My father suffered a very slow mental deterioration due to untreated central sleep apnea. He exhibited almost all of your symptoms as his dementia progressed.

Do you try to eat a nutritional diet? You also have a long list of symptoms of depression. I suffered from many of those symptoms until I was treated by a psychiatrist who got my nutrition improved. Strong B vitamins were the key.

Have your blood tested for folate, B12, D, hormones including Thyroid, DHEA, and all the sex hormones.

This will be a start.

Okay now I see it, from last nite's posts but not the ones prior.
So you can't edit your posts after a certain period of time passes ?
I wanted to add another condition that I was diagnosed with : HPU or also called KPU. They stand for Kryptopyrolurria and Hemopyrrollactamuria.
Any of you guys heard of that ?

Well, since my insomnia was so severe I got on prescription meds to put me sleep, and there's very few that works for me.
But the one that I've used seems to put me into a deep sleep and for a long time. And the doctor who was treating me for my other conditions - that was the first thing he addressed was getting sufficient sleep as being key. Could my symptoms still be the result of an underlying Sleep Apnea, even if I'm now getting plenty of sleep due to the meds ?
Letely I've been trying to get off the sleep meds, because I'm worried of the effect of long-term prescription usage, so I've been experimenting with natural supplements to help me sleep.
As for diet, I am on an extremely strict regimen, based on my doctor's orders. I do not eat any gluten, dairy, sugar, pork, or alcohol. This eliminates almost all kinds of food, so I eat much less now, and as a result have lost a lot of weight. I take Greens Powders, full of dried vegetables, and add it to a daily drink, and otherwise eat a lot of protein, fruits and vegetables.
So with the bad stuff eliminated, and good stuff added, I think my diet is good.
My doctor also addressed the B Vitamins. I've even been giving myself 5 cc's of B-12 injections daily for the last couple months. But it hasn't really helped. I now take sublingual Folate and B-12.
I've had my thyroid tested, and they said that was normal. And I've taken DHEA supplements on my own. So the only thing I havn't addressed that you listed was Vitamin D, and sex hormones.

You can delete or edit a post for 24 hours from when you first posted. I think you have 20 minutes to edit before the edit line shows. Sorry, I cannot find confirmation of that, but I think that 20 minutes is correct. After that time has lapsed you would need to contact a moderator to do it for you.

I guess that others now know you have those additional conditions but if you'd like to add them to an earlier post, please send me the details and I'll do it for you.
