Default Guess I'm not out of the woods yet!!
I have not been in any pain since last September, but about a month ago, I started having episodes of vertigo (according to my doctor). Is this normal for people with PCS? Will it go away?

Yes, it's "normal" - and by that I mean it can be a symptom of PCS.

I experienced it for the first time due to the brain injury I got from the accident I was in.

It's NOT fun. I'm sorry to hear you have experienced it.

I haven't experienced it in many months, maybe even a year. Hopefully, you will not experience it again.

I have what I believe is occasional vertigo.

It's a common symptom of PCS.

Hope it gets better for you. I'm sure it will ...

Katiebell-

I have what is called BPPV. It means benign positional paroxsyml vertigo.
Having the vertigo is normal. I've been having issues for 6 months now. Thought I had it resolved on the right, but it has shown up again. Back to the PT this week. There are exercises that you can do that are supposed to help alleviate the vertigo, but I'm stubborn and I guess vertigo likes me.

Check with your Doc about different movements to try to hopefully rid you of the vertigo. Good luck! I know it sucks.

Vertigo can be either blood pressure related or inner ear related. If it is more common when you get up from sitting, it would be blood pressure related. It it just comes on or follows head movements, it may be inner ear related. There are some therapies for the inner ear kind.

It's definitely my inner ear - I experience it when I bend over, tilt my head back, and get in bed.
