WEll, other than the weird thursday, I've had a much better week! I think learning to recognize the signs of fatigue and setback before it happens has been good, as well as accepting that my life really did need to change in order to finally start improving. I cannot thank all of you here enough!
I am on progesterone though, so I wonder how much of me feeling better is due to the protective effects of progesterone on the brain, as well as thyroid medication which helps with the fatigue. I worry about when I have to stop the progesterone though... and what kind of whiplash effect it'll have on my recovery, but I guess I'll have to deal with that as I go. I cannot worry about every single eventuality! Anyways, just wanted to share some good news for once, and say a giant thank you to all of you for helping to keep me sane (ok, well, I am never sane but at least not insane!!!)

When resting, symptoms are low. With exertion, I still suffer from fatigue, migraines, vision problems, problems thinking or reading, troubles sleeping, issues finding or getting words to my mouth when the headaches are bad, tinnitus, and thyroid issues which I think are due to the concussion. Seen one specialist, and now a few others through insurance review of my case. Hoping for further treatment. |

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better. Its remarkable how a couple decent days can really make you feel like you might get through it all, I know!
I've been overdoing it for days in a row now and am having to pay the consequences. Its bad when you know when you're doing it and still choose to keep going. Oops. ![]() Weekend is over now, time to get back to my "one thing a day". ![]() Good thoughts to you Camyam! ![]() Starr |

It wonderful how getting one's hormonal ducks in a row can make one's days go so much better.

Thanks guys... I have no doubts that I'll still have bad days... and I worry about when I need to go off the progesterone, and I worry about if I do become pregnant.... what effects either of those will have... but I am just going to take this one day at a time... Today I am even going to READ. Not much, ten minutes maybe, but this will be the first time I'll have picked up a book in nine and a half weeks!!!

Thanks Headstrong! I still feel pretty darn good. I haven't read at all.... Still a bit nervous and even when I see a long post online my eyes glaze over....
I have very faint headaches daily, but they are so minor, I am able to actually enjoy sitting on the couch everyday. LOL Next week I'll try to extend my times out, and increase my walking.... fingers crossed that everything stays improving.
