I finally got my neuropsych results from the MD. I am glad to say that my results are not showing any major problems, except some visual issues and some "higher cognitive organizational deficits." I guess I can't focus too long on words/numbers and don't remember what I read.
So that is good news. I apparently however have some issues that they want me to talk to a therapist about (anger, anxiety, PTSD for something unrelated) but all in all I consider myself lucky even though I am still experiencing the effects of this PCS. I know I still have a long road ahead, but things (tentatively) are looking up... ![]()

Great news!
Did they recommend a vision therapy evaluation to help you with the visual issues? The "higher cognitive organizational deficits" doesn't sound good... do they think it's permanent? |

They didnt recommend any visual therapy...but they do want to keep an eye on the cognitive thing...MD said hopefully would improve with time! (i guess that is a theme I am going to get used to!) Thank you for asking!

Did they mention any specifics about your visual memory functions? Or any immediate memory deficits? They can be a big part of cognitive organizational deficits. This can also be listed as digit span.
As I have mentioned many times, learning skills to shut out extraneous stimuli can be very helpful at improving organizational functions. Most can shut out extraneous stimuli without effort. We need to often make a specific effort. Maybe they can help you zone in on your specific weaknesses. My best to you.

Mark, I have that information you requested. It looks like I had issues on the "integrated visual and auditory continuous performance test" I showed difficulties with sustained visual attention compared to verbal attention.
Apparently, a "significant amount of errors" were made "the Categories test: a test of high level conceptualization and organizational thinking" as well. In reviewing this information, I realize that although I went over this with my MD, I really don't know if this means anything at all. (but I know you will be able to help more than the MD did, ![]() Thank you for the help -K.-

Oh I should add (this has nothing to do with neuropsych results) that last night my daughter smacked her forehead into my temple last night.
I luckily woke up today with just a really bad headache and a sore neck (weird on the sore neck part) But it made me realize how much more aware I am of my head now since January...and how easy it is to have some symptoms come back...! ![]()
