Mad Is this still PCS?

I know a lot ppl with brain injury most have symptoms of "fog" and also short term memory problems. I'm pretty sure I don't have this issue because I don't have trouble finding words and my speech is fine.

BUT I do have other symptoms that really bother me. Sometimes I wonder if it's PCS or something else like neck issues (even though I have full range motion and no neck pain but neck is sensitive to touch).

I get a pressure/tension headache when I'm at the computer too long (about a hour). Same type of pressure when lifting or forcing something with my hands like opening a jar or lifting the dishes out of the dish washer. I can't stand noises and can only last 15-30 min shopping (grocery or mall). Very sensitive to jolting and vibrations, and the worst symptom is dizziness, feeling unsteady on your feet, sometimes like your body is in motion (but not falling and can walk fine). Very strange stuff...

These sound like PCS to me. I have the same kinds of problems, and it seems like many people here do as well.

Default Is this still PCS ?

Hi, I can relate to how you are feeling. I've had PCS for nearly 17 mos, and the pressure in my head is my main symptom. It comes on when I exercise, with stress, with anxiety, etc. Prior to my fall on ice, I changed careers to a personal trainer. So it has been very challenging for me. I work part time, but my only form of exercise is 'walking' right now. I can tolerate some light weight lifting with dumbbells. But not much else.

If I overdo it, my symptoms get worse. I also get dizziness (whooziness) at times, and my head/brain feel full or twisted. As well as fatigue.

I have been following this forum for some time now.. and had read about getting your neck checked out, as this could be the cause of some PCS symptoms. My neck has bothered me. So I found an upper cervical chiropractor in my area who specializes in 'Atlas Orthogonal'. She did 3D xrays of my neck, and it showed my Atlas was out. I've been seeing her for a few mos now, but have not been able to keep my atlas in place for more than a few weeks at a time.

My chiro believes once my Atlas is stablized, it will increase the blood flow to my brain, and assist in my healing. I will say that when it is out, and my chiro resets it, my symptoms feel better. So perhaps you should check out a upper cervical chiropractor in your area. Your neck may be the source, or at least a contributor to your symptoms.

In addition to the weekly visits to the chiro, I currently see a cranial sacral therapist monthly (which gives me some relief). And also have energy healing work done. I'm always trying to stay positive, and to be in a place of acceptance and gratitiude for where I am today.

I got my MRI and neck showed a disk bulge but chiro said it would come with tingling, numbness and arm pain which I don't have (although I did have tingling for the first 4 months)

I'm going to ask my regular chiro if he knows where the closest NUCCA chiro is. I just don't want to waste any $. But I guess I'd know after 1 session right? That's another problem most stories I read about Atlas Orthogonal is that you need repeat treatments. But if it works it would be worth it.

For cranial I'm tempted to try but worried I'll make things worse as it's so sensitive since the injury.

Steph what is the energy healing you speak of? Meditation?

Please be careful with Chiros. Good one may be able to help but a bad one is just stealing your money. Even the good ones may not be able to help your problem. Cranial sacral therapy likely won't hurt you, so it's worth a try. Don't be sacred of it. Whenever I hear treatments that sound like "energy therapy" I am very skeptical. That doesn't mean you should avoid it, just check it out thoroughly. When you aren't feeling well it's easy to believe people who want to take your money.
