Howdy!

I'm in the same boat with anything exertion or abdominal exercise related: golf, bowling, core work, intense yoga, cycling, running, and swimming. My neurologist had been kind enough to put a label on it (exertion induced migraine), however like many other things brain injury related, can't find the exact cause other than "concussion" and "pcs". MRI / CT / MRA / other tests have been clear for biostructural defect.

Boo.

I have found that Naratriptan does work to get rid of the severe headache within two hours. Sadly, insurance will only pay for 8 - 5.0 mg tabs within a 30 day period.

I'm trying to learn race walking to provide fitness and it's tough to learn, looks silly as hell, but I get no headache

May 31, 2009: Concussion from syncope due to low blood volume resulting from severe dehydration. Occurred after finishing my 9th marathon. 100% of symptoms cleared by August 2009.

December 15, 2009: Major surgery due to diverticulitis. 6 weeks after surgery, dizziness, fog, cognitive difficulty, anxiety, some panic, lots of headache. These symptoms largely gone, but still cannot exercise above a very low threshold otherwise resulting in severe headache and cognitive fog. Same for overwhelming odors.

Meds: Nortriptyline and Naratriptan as needed to rid severe headaches (exertional migraines).
