I haven't been on much lately, been really struggling with the headaches and fatigue but wanted to post a quick update.
some of you know my situation and that I was tapering off the Propranalol and was released to light/modified duty this past week. Well that didn't happen becuase i was told my emplyer doesn't have light duty available. In the meantime I am now starting Amitriptyline (already tried Noritriptyline) still in vestibular therapy and starting to become depressed because of the slow recovery and chronic daily headaches. Anyway, some things have improved quite a bit and others have not... so I'm just a bit scared I've plateaud (is that even a real word)? Has anyone else felt like this??? ![]()

My injury was two years and four months ago. I really can relate to what you are saying about your progress. I think that for some of us at least, the progress is slow and there are many plateaus.
In fact, for myself I find that I might see a little progress and then I go backwards - or at least that's the way it seems to me. I just keep trying to move on. And I keep trying new things. Yes, I get scared. But I try not to focus on that. I think you have to look at the progress that you have made since the accident and also realize that sometimes the progress is much slower than we would like. I hope that the Amitriptyline will help your headaches. If it doesn't help, try something else until you find something that works. This is a really difficult "illness" to have, because others do not understand. The people here all understand. Just rant as much as you need to. I hope that you find something that will at least help the headaches. Best wishes. ShellyK |

Shellyk said it better than I could have, but I wanted to let you know I am thinking of you too.
I feel frustrated too sometimes, I just try to remember how far I have come (although it doesn't seem far at times) ![]() I hope you find relief soon, maybe the plateau is before more improvement? ![]()

Thanks ShellyK and Dolfinwolf! I will try to look at it like a small plateau with more imprvoements to come. I have to or the alternative makes me crazy.
