I haven't been back for a while. It's been 18 months since my accident. I can say now that I'am 90 percent healed and getting better every day.
I have all the symptoms. Everything from depression to vertigo and the brain fog (by the way the worst and longest lasting symptom for me). I had setbacks and had to start from the beginning a couple times. I thought life wouldn't get better. Things turned slowly but they did. Before my accident I was super active. Played every sport. Pretty much everyday I was involved in a sport. I took it very slow. Almost too slow I think. I'am now going to the gym daily, workIng on my cardio and minimal weights. I'am almost where I want to be. I can work out at an hr above 160 for 30 minute straight. I couldn't tell you how good it felt to run for the first time in over a year. I'am social again, I get out and enjoy the occational wobbly pop. I just wanted to tell my story because I was at such a dark time in my life and I have came out of it. Just hang in there. Life is good. |
