Default benadryl

I took benadryl for allergy symptoms and found it to lessen my headache. Searching around online I saw that it is given for migraines but could not find the rationale.

Did it help because of the inflammation that I have?

People mentioned the their doctor said it potentiates pain pills.

Also people said that people with migraine have generally higher levels of histamine.

Any opinions or experiences ? Please and Thank you!
