Hi All,
Am having a down day today, I had a good weekend met sister for quiet meal in small restaurant, friday eve.and managed it well. Then we saw some friends on saturday night for a take a way, didn't over do it only had one glass of wine, and left early, don't drink as a rule anyway. The last few weeks have been very good almost felt normal, have not had any headaches for weeks now, and symptons not as bad and have been careful not to over do things. But today felt really down and could not stop crying most of the day, and been feeling really tired also, my tummy is still in knots/as it has been on and off for ages, I do my breathing etc to try and help it. I checked my journal and noticed this crying has happend in the past, usually near the end of month, could this be hormones ?, although I had menopause 10 years ago !! Wonder if anyone else has had this experience. hope you all have good day x Cx |

Nine Lives,
This happens to me quite often. I can be going along thinking I am doing good and getting out some and then wham. I get real moody. Crying, anger, frustration, confusion, irritability etc. I have tried to figure out a pattern and yes I have noticed it happens more right before my menstrual cycle but can happen at any time during the month. I do think that hormones have something to do with it but I think mostly it is from being brain injured and for whatever reason our brain is kicking out some release of emotion. That is the way I look at it is that we must have had something that came up that triggered a needed emotional release. I always feel better after the crying. Did you feel like it was a release? Try to look at it in that way instead of getting stressed and anxious over it. ![]() Love to you, Brain

nine,
You could easily have messed up hormones. My wife is about your age and has her bio-identical HRT adjusted by blood test once a year. There still is some cycling. Add a concussion and it can get more problematic. Have you had any chiro or PT manipulation of your spine at C-5 to T-3? this area can be inflamed and causing the stomach problems. Been there, done that, dealing with chronic stomach issues. Fortunately, I know how to treat at home if the problem is minor. Ice and an exercise using a large rubber band. I have had this problem on and off for 20 years. Resolving the spine issue has always solved it or at least reduced the intensity.

Hi Thank you for replys,
Brain patch. Nice to know I am not alone, Yes I do feel relieved afterwards, like a big load has been taken off me, its like a pressure baloon has burst. maybe as you say it's the bodies way of sorting things out. I will try to look upon it as a possitive thing. I've just got back from Zumba and feel much better now, gosh I really hate this pcs.. Mark, Thanks for your input,I will speak to my Dr to see about my hormones levels, had not thought of this before. I've not had any chiro work done but how does the rubber band work ? sounds interesting. Many thanks. |
