Use Claritin-D! It works for the ear pressure, and allergies that sometimes come up for me with blurred vision. And sometimes, when my allergies are real bad, nausea comes around, ugh...lol..

Symptoms: Occipital Neuralgia. 2 MRI's and CT normal. Currently going through Paxil withdrawals, and psych has me on L-Theanine, Benadryl for zaps, and Lemon Balm. It has eased it by a bit, so I am continuing the treatment till 1 month from now. Made a 98% recovery on April 8, 2013 with only symptoms of pinched nerves/Occipital Neuralgia in the head and is being treated with injections and physical therapy. Was experiencing: Migraines, Headaches, Nausea and Vomiting, Panic Attacks and Anxiety, Depression, Major Insomnia, Brain Fog, Tinnitus, Lethargy, Loss of appetite, Major Heart Palpitations, Occipital Neuralgia has eased a bit. Vitamins and Medicines: , L-Theanine, Omega 3 Super DHA 900mg, Stress B-Complex Extra Strength, Potassium Gluconate 1000mg, Magnesium Malate 1250mg, Vitamin D3 2000 IU, Methylcobalamin B-12 5000 mcg, Vitamin C 500mg, Lemon Balm. Things that helped me: My Vitamin Regimen, Medication, Earplugs (Love these!), Nature Sounds, Hydrotherapy, Neck Pillow with Heat, Heating Pads, Resting, Being Outside! |

Mia Vita, be careful with antihistamines.... I was reading the warnings about effexor and it says not to take with antihistamines..... and I think you said you are on Prestiq or something? Maybe talk to your pharmacist so you don't overdose on anything!
My husband uses a neti pot to rinse his nostrils out with saline water and he swears by it for helping his allergies. If your problem is eyes and throat though I don't know if it would help. Good luck CC

I'm a 39 year old, female, accountant. On July 2, 2012 I crashed my bike at the end of a 65KM road ride. I was fine that day but woke up the next morning to my current world. Ongoing symptoms include: dizziness, blurred vision, light and noise sensitivities, cognitive problems, uncontrollable emotions/depression/anxiety, headaches (but they're getting better), mental and physical fatigue, difficulty communicating and sleep disturbances. Currently seeing a fabulous Neuro Psychologist and vestibular physiotherapist and hoping to soon see a neuro ophthalmologist. I am currently doing 20 minute stationary bike rides daily, 20 minutes of meditating, 15 minutes of Lumosity and lots of resting. I have not been able to work or drive since the accident. The things that have helped me the most since the accident are vestibular therapy, gel eye drops (for blurred vision, sensitivity and dryness), amitriptyline (10mg), and meditating. I am finally starting to see some slight improvements and am hopeful! My brain WANTS to heal itself... I just have to let it and stop trying to get better! |

Oh oops, yep there is an interaction here between Pristiq and Claritin D according to drugs.com. Check with your doctor first. Sorry for the mistake. ><

So I go to vestibular therapy today and she is a certified TBI vestibular therapist.Well today she taught me a new exercise for the vestibular.I told her about the cortisone shots I got 48hours ago (because you have to wait 48hrs).She said well I did not realize you had that much bulging C1-C5.So she did some work on my brain stem or something with her hands. She kept asking does this hurt as she moved around I'm like no!If it is it's a good hurt.
So after my eyes got a little weird (which I got checked out and was ok on that deal)and a headache and my ortho wrote me a prescription other day for headaches. My friend drove me from V therapy to Pharmacy to pick up this headache medicine and it has Acetaminophen in it.Well I took one before realizing and I feel fine just really tired and headache is gone. So my problem is it is a holiday weekend and I have to track either my psychiatrist or neurologist down to see if this is ok?IDK understand because ALL my MDs know what meds I am on.Im just feeling really wore out.Rehabilitation is a full time job for sure ![]()

I am not suppose to be taking antihistamines with my Prestiq.Well looks like I will have to make a change in antidepressant. My headache medicine is antihistamine and I will need antihistamine when jaw gets done.WOW just when you think you on correct regimen BOOM! With this being said I will also have to go threw the tampering of Pristiq ALREADY AFTER 2 months.

You might end up using an SSRI instead. I was quite skeptical at first after trying Celexa, it was a bad experience to say the least. I weaned myself off, never wanting to go near a SSRI again. After Zyprexa, Xanax, Celexa and just being doped up, nauseous, weak and hungry, I was tired of it. After the whole skadoosh with my psychiratist telling me I was bipolar and a schizoaffective, I dumped her. She didn't understand me, I was in fear, panic 24/7, sick all the time, and felt isolated. All she knew is what my mother told her about my mood swings.
Then came a light of hope, I was scheduled to see our town's best psychiratist, he saw me, took a close look, and said, "You look awful. Are you in pain?". I nodded. He did some tests for memory, asked me questions and my life history like all psychiratists do. He said it, plain as day, "You have emotional symptoms of PCS. You are depressed." Things went uphill from there. I saw a therapist who let me get my fears out, my PCP who checked on me, my psychiratist, and my neuro. They were my go-go gadget team for the longest time. My last stop ended on Paxil and Remeron. Paxil was prescribed to me after a rushed trip to the ER after Gabapentin and Cymbalta sent me to what felt like death. So does Paxil work? Yep, it does. Am I proud I took it? Yeah. Paxil killed off my anxiety while the Remeron ended my depression and my last symptoms of IBS. So give a shot, and sorry I typed so much. I got carried away again!
