A lot of my problems come from instability in my neck. How is your neck? When you're having a bad day, have you tried wearing a cervical collar. My PT suggested doing that, and I do find it can dampen my symptoms.

I can relate to your worries so much, as most of us on this forum probably can! As soon as something happen that could mean a new concussion or just symptoms coming back I freeze and think "oh crap, not again".
Like tonight my friend was hugging me goodbye, he was a bit drunk so he was not very gentle and our head kind of bumped mildly together and I got really scared like "NO not another concussion", then I realized it was probably not a concussion and at worst I'll feel worse for a week or two and all I can do is try to accept that and go on with my life. Whenever I bump my head lightly or something happens head-wise that kickstarts my worries I try to think back to my concussions and compare that force of impact to what just occured and when I realize that this new incident was much smaller and thus most likely didnt concuss me I feel a little bit better. I don't know if this is helping you in any way, I just kind of wanted to let you know I feel your worries. I hope a day will come when I am not scared of hugging people or sleeping next to my boyfriend for the fear of accidental head contact and I hope that for all of us. Best of luck to you ![]() |
