Socks,
I developed a tendency to bang my head easily too. I had to change the way I move. No reaching, stretching bending over or twisting to pick something up. Instead, I use good back mechanics. Open the car door, stoop and reach in. Stoop and reach under the desk, or better, if you can use a reaching tool to reach under the desk. I can't picture how you did these head impacts but know you can find a way to move better. I had to learn this for two reasons, To avoid hitting my head and to avoid wrenching my back. A point to remember. The concussed brain often struggles with balance and proprioception (knowing where your muscle/limbs are). This is made much worse when the head is in an awkward position, such a leaning over. It takes time to learn these new movement behaviors but the effort is worth it. My best to you.
