I have severe damage to the nerves in my neck, along with the occipital nerve. I have had all of the nerves on my left side of neck burned to stop them from working....it helped some but I still have chronic neck pain. Having Occipital nerve stimulator implanted in October. I have a headache every day, most days I can function over them to an extent. At any given moment I can move my neck in any unknown fashion and I am in severe pain. Neurosurgeon said that the damage done is permanent in inoperable as I wasn't referred out to one for 7 months after MVA. The damage is done to the muscles and tendons. This is crippling for me, one minute I could have bearable pain, and moving my neck to look at someone can set off a world of pain.
