Default Has anyone tried ashwagandha for sleeping?

I was on amitryptiline 25mg a while, but the side effects were too severe to continue taking it for my sleeping issues, even though it helped me a lot to sleep better.

I came across ashwagandha, also known as 'sleep berry'. Has anyone of you tried it? Has it the same strong effect as amitryptiline?
