Default improved brain blood flow through accupuncture

I will probably start a therapy in one week. I will visit a doc for TCM. He told me that the brain itself is not one of the parts where TCM is known to work, like a tennis ellbow. It is more an experiment for him as well, as he never had a case like me. So he did not seem 100% sophisticated.

I asked him what i could expect from accupuncture. He said the healing could be improved by setting positive stimulations through accupuncture, in special improve the brains blood flow. I would certainly give this a try, if the doc wasn't out of town, and each visit is quite an exhausting trip for me.

What do you think?
