Default Feeling better/Thanks!

I know lots of the time people post about struggles and I still have my struggles to be sure, but over the last month I have gotten to a point where I can actually stand it, and I enjoy things again. I manage a decent workout some days and I manage to laugh and go out. I am changed for sure, but I am happy I got this far. Please if you can find time to relax and smile give yourself a break, maybe this is bad advice but don't focus on your recovery ALL the time, sometimes that can be just as damaging, it was for me!

Could be the drugs could be the headaches have eased off. But all I can say is keep moving forward everyone and if you're just afraid and worried don't just read the posts, post your issues on this board and ask for help, there is a glut of great people on here with a ton of information!

I hope everyone can have some good days

Thank you for all the help!

I am so happy for you! May I know when did your accident happen?

I am 14 months into it and having a sudden tinnitus flare out of nowhere. It maybe due to the antibiotics that I am taking for my sore throat but its really making me depressed and scared of the future. I am just 28 and god knows for how long this torture will be with me sorry for ranting even my sound sensitivity doesn't seem to subside .

Apparently I only have these auditory symptoms and other symptoms are much better now. But I don't know how to deal with these and where to go now

Galaxy have you checked your auditory nerve to make sure a blood vessel is not pinching it? Perhaps your auditory nerve has a blood vessel pinching it causing disruption. A tiny blood vessel could have smashed up against the nerve...

What meds are you in if you dont mind sharing? Looking at your symptoms looks like we have a few of the same. Good to hear youre doing well.

I know the feeling, I still get periodic ear piercing tinnitus, or whooshing, I used to get terrrible pressure feelings in my ear, they have relented, I found the best way for me to deal with it, was to not deal with it at all. I know that might not make sense, but for me I gave a big F off to that stuff I got mad at it and decided in spite of it I was going to have a good day, I get determined, doesn't mean every day but those days especially.

Also I stopped trying to figure everything out, obviously you have to be your own captain and steer the ship, but sometimes I just let things go that were new not life threatening obviously, but a kink in the neck, a new headache, a shooting sensation often went away on its own if I let it. May not be what you are looking for but it helped me!

I now am on Zoloft, was on Lyrica, and started psych treatment, and those were all a bigger help than I would have predicted. I had failed results with other anti depressants but this one seemed to work quite well. Also my treatment for neck related headaches went a long way, instead of dealing with constant headaches I only deal with over stimulation headaches, some days they come back but just not waking up with them has been mood altering, therefor life altering.

I hope you find what works for you! Stay positive!

Sorry and the accident was last June. I am still not fully recovered, maybe not even close, but I am at a level I could live with if I had to. Don't feel guilty or sorry for ranting on here thats what it is for. I used this forum as my other psychologist really and I am glad I did. Don't ever feel guilty or sorry for asking anything!

You will improve keep at it, enjoy what you can!

What treatment for neck related headaches did you find helpful?
Thanks

I tried upper cervical chiro some time ago. He did 12 sessions of basically twisting and popping neck and spine manipulation. He said my atlas is much better than when I came to him for the first time. But this treatment didn't do much for me and my tinnitus basically returned to the same levels after a fortnight . I am thinking of going to an osteopath for some massage on my neck. Heard it works for some people. Also will try some neck strengthening exercises and antiinflammatory diet
