Default Headache culprit

I have an unresolved neck injury. I am still seeking someone who can treat it with little success. I did some PT but it did not seem to resolve the issue.

When I was doing the PT, the therapist found a spot on the right side of my neck. When she pushed on it, it shot a sharp pain into my head.

She seemed to think that spot might be associated with my headaches but did nothing further about it. Any ideas on what she found and what type of treatment is needed?
