Default Some levity, some worry...

The levity:
It's been a banner week for me and my family...

1. My son has found the little parent in him. He's decided that every decision I make is evidently the wrong one... it was humorous the first 17x, and getting less so very quickly : ) He's also decided that he now needs to tell his 11 yr old sister that she doesn't know how to do "stuff". Of course, the 11 yr old sister takes this oh-so-well and, voila, constant chaos!

2. I'm currently participating in a 6 week concussion clinic program. In week 4 of this, I've come to the conclusion that they are trying to kill me... : )

3. Our 9 month old pup was set for spaying 3 months ago, but at that time she developed diarrhea. Following a stool specimen sample, we learned she had a Giardia infection, meaning she couldn't be spayed. Once the infection was controlled, she had more diarrhea. Just before we were ready to finally get her spayed, she went into estrous... sigh. Making matter worse, she developed vaginal hyperplasia, meaning her insides are now outside The poor thing. During this time she has to wear the dreaded cone of shame. It was entertaining and saddening to see her wearing this. But I've since learned that the cone of shame is the bane of full drinking glasses and freshly painted walls : ) The dog is singlehandedly destroying walls, furniture, etc...

So, despite some really intense headaches linked to the clinic activities that I have, I am trying and have some humour about all this... if my family didn't have bad luck...

I thought that perhaps a few of you might get a good-hearted chuckle at my situation : )

The worry:
My daughter was playing hockey on the weekend and got kneed in the back of the head. I was not at the game and my wife missed the contact. The coach, despite her telling him her head hurt (my daughter said she still wanted to play), decided to let her play the rest of the game (injury was 5 min in the game). My daughter has now had headaches since Saturday and has not gone to school... very worried and very angry about this.
