has anyone had any luck with treating their sleep problems (particularly waking up at night and not feeling rested in the morning)? i have read all the medical stuff online, got a sleep study done, .. so far nothing has helped.

It might be worth it to get one of these wrist monitors to see if you can find a pattern
http://www.amazon.com/Withings-WAM01...pulse+oximeter Have you tried having a snack before bed so you have some food energy in your system ? I wonder if a food like Glucerna that is specially formulated for a slow release of energy would help.

i have tried the wrist monitor - unfortunately they are too inaccurate to really tell anything. i'm trying to get a different one now.
also tried salty snacks at night.. so far nothing seems to help. have tried melatonin supplements |

Are you on any meds? I know some of the antidepressants can really make you feel crummy in the AM.

i take mag threonate daily but it hasn't really helped
not on any meds other than trying various things specifically for sleep |

Are you taking the magnesium at the end of the day ?
Have you tried extended release melatonin ? It only has a short effective time so the extended release may help.

i take mag in the morning, should i try at night? the package says take them in the morning for some reason so that's what i've been doing.
yes, taking ER melatonin |

From what I understand, you want a surge of available magnesium as you need to go to sleep.

Here is my sleep remedy:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread221696.html I take magnesium thru the day and other supps. I sleep very good but don't wake up like I did when I was younger and in much less pain. I believe low cortisol is a major factor with this issue for Many folks. |
