Concussion 28-02-2014 head butted a door edge. . Symptoms overcome: Nausea, head pressure, debilitating fatigue, jelly legs, raised pulse rate, night sweats, restlessness, depersonalisation, anxiety, neck ache, depression. Symptoms left: Disturbed sleep, some residual tinnitus. |

That's great Bud! So glad to here you are doing well. I also just hit the 2 year mark at the end of March. I have often thought from reading your posts that we have had similar PCS journeys.
So do you find that you can do all the things you used to for as long? For instance, do you work full time and then do all the things like exercise and chores at home after work? Are you able to have a full day of activity without symptoms? I find I can do most things in smaller increments. Like I can work half-time and exercise 20 minutes instead of an hour. But I need breaks and naps and a lot of sleep at night. I usually have a constant low level of dizziness and fatigue that I have to manage. Exceptions are that I can't exercise heavily like I used to or do any activity that involves impact and a lot of turning. So running and my favorite sport of basketball are out of the question. Are you symptom-free most of the time? Just wondering if what I am feeling is similar to others at this point. Thanks.

Injury: March 2014. Hit hard on top of head by heavy metal farm tool. LOC. MRIs and Cat Scans clear. PCS ever since. 33 year old female. Trying to stay positive! Persisting Problems: fatigue, dizziness, lightheadedness, vestibular balance and vision problems, vision static, tinnitus, hearing loss, slight sensitivity to noise, sometimes the insomnia comes back, sensitivity to stress, exercise intolerance, emotional problems - But I still have much to be thankful for. |
