Default Returning to work suggestions

Hello everyone,

Expanding on my previous post I am trying to return to my previous occupation, I have been doing light duty work for full time hours with relative ease, however now I am running into some issues with my return to full duty which involves high intensity work in the morning (physical and cognitive with stress response) and technical reading in the afternoons, though I can choose how I arrange it.

As the week wore on I tended to get a little worse and a little worse, this weekend I slept basically all Friday, had to nap again on Saturday and then Sunday I started to feel well rested, albeit at night I was extremely irritable and tired and headaches almost all weekend.

I already feel a bit in deficit but am going to carry on through the week of training. But I meet with my doctor on Thursday to discuss our plan going forward, he is awesome and will basically let me do whatever I need to do

So My question is, should I continue to push? (I don't think so but will know more this week) or would it be better to do a couple days of hard training followed by a couple light days then adding more hard days week to week?,

or should I maybe do a week of training followed by a week of regular work, that is what I am leaning towards. But I also don't want to be fooled by my own mind, into backing off if I don't need to, this is very confusing and nuanced so thought I would reach out to others with tons of experience.

let me know.....

Have a good Monday!
