I have intercranial hypertension along with TN too!!! Imagine that. My neurosurgeon and I went farther down that theoretical line (that TN and IH are linked), and installed a shunt to relieve the pressure. I am sad to report that I still have the same amount of pain as I did before the shunt surgery. Having a shunt placed is risky business, so I would avoid it if you can. I hope that this helps, sorry to bear the bad news, though.

Besides the Occipital/Trigeminal Neuralgia....I have Interstitial Cystitis(chronic inflammation of bladder wall)....I don`t know which one is worse.......they both are terrible in my book.......

The doc feels I probably have an autoimmune disorder, but not sure which one right now....

It sure is frustrating to deal with the acute pain, but then the feeling of always being tired and ache all over is just as hard to live with in my opinion....
