Default Numbness etc

Hello Megun, pleased to meet you although I'm sorry you've had to post here on behalf of your mother. I've had an MVD many years ago & I've also had a recent surgery which was followed by AD. At first I was not sure if it was AD as my surgeon said it was dysesthesia, however it was very uncomfortable and at times mildly painful. I used Zostrix pepper cream on the cheek area, but had to be very careful not to get it near to my eyes or mouth. It did burn a little, but when I used it 4 times daily (as recommended) the more I used it the better it got. This along with time. After 12 weeks I still have numbness but not as bad as prior, but when I was told that it would get better it didn't help at the time! Did they find a compression during the MVD and if so I assume they successfully separated it? It doesn't mean that the MVD didn't work at all, everyone is different and things can take time to settle down. Please say Hi for me, I can try to help as best that I can (if I can!)
