I don't have any eye problems. The neurologist he is referring me to has a specialist interest in headache though from what i've read this doesn't seem to fit my symptoms. I sort of am concerned that it may be a pre-TN thing, i don't have sharp pains just a numb/stinging/burning sensation which is constant.
Wow once again from what i have read & experienced ( i have a burning sensation on my right side which they told me is atypical TN) your symptoms sound like atypical TN. of course this is just my opinion from research on the subject. I'm not sure where you are located but I am from Pittsburgh and I saw Dr. Richard Weisman (neurologist) and Dr. Raymond Sekula ( who is now located in Erie PA as my neurosurgeon). THey took amazing care of me and my issue. Dr. Weisman was the most caring doctor I had ever met before Dr. Sekula. I would most certainly recommend either of them to see, especially Dr. Weisman because that seems to be what you need the neurologist not the surgeon just yet.

As for the medicines I am right there with you. I still have yet to find a medicine to work for my TN & nothing has made a difference at all. And if it has I couldn't tolerate it at all. & when i say couldnt tolerate I mean I would be falling asleep doing work it had that much of an impact over me.

Keep us posted! Good Luck!!
