I'm present. I gotta pick up gum balls out of the yard. I have to do it with tongs. ugh!
After it stormed all night and more severe storms coming in this afternoon the yard is full of them. Talk to you later, if we don't loose power._____ Billie

I'm sure this tree has another name, but in the fall it has balls on it, that are stickery and awful to pick up. I decided to rake them up in a shovel into 5 gallon buckets.
I first had a buckeye tree that we done the samething with. What a mess! Now also I will have pine cones to pick up too. I don't need to exercise, for these trees are more than I want, when it comes to a workout. Next, there will be leaves to rake. Got another storm coming in about three o clock. ______ Billie

Hi everyone, just got back from breakfast/lunch---I guess that would be brunch ha ha. We went to a place called Panera bread co. They had all these sweets and all I had was a baked egg souffle. It was hard with those bear claws and cinnamon rolls calling me.
 Gum balls in your yard Billie??? Glad you clarified that one. I was wondering about you. I hope the storms are not too bad. Hi to everyone else. WOuld say more but my keyboard shelf just fell off in my lap Me thinks its time for a new desk...Sue

Hi All! I cannot begin to explain some of the things going on in my life right now...........it would take so long! A while back I said that I had some exciting news that I would eventually share with everyone. It is actually exciting but the reason it was happening was a very negative thing. My son and his girlfriend are complete mess ups! I love my son DEARLY but his life is in shambles....his drug issues are back as aee his girlfriends....she is also very violent at times and likes to take her anger out on my son? (he is about 1/2 her size) . They are my grandaughter parents!!!!!!!!!!!! I never shared this with anyone here untill now but when we were away camping in August....they got into a terrible fight and the girlfriend broke my sons nose! The police were called and Saffire along with her brother were taken by the Childens Aid Society!!!!!!!!! Hubby and I have been jumping thru hoops to get Saffire into our care! We are 99% sure that Saffy will be coming to stay with us short or long term? I have only seen her for 1 45 minute visit and a very breif few moments one other time since she went into care, as I have been so sick lately.! It has been heartwrenching for us but we have spent all of our time getting ready to have her into our home. The crib is ready and every thing else right down to babyproofing. We have went thru police checks and numerous visits with a CAS worker. The case will be handed over to a supervisor tomorrow. We just need to wait now. My heart has been aching for Saffire. Today I could not beleive it....my son sent me 9 messages......he is furious that we will not take his stepson as well! He called me every name in the book and told me how awful I was.....he dosen;t want to speak to me and says I am dirt to him! It was just awful listening to all of the things he was saying to me. Hubby and I have talked it over again and again and we are not prepared to take on both of the kids. Hubby has two boys...age 12 and 8. They have been thru divorce, and slowly been introduced to me and over a period of years we have succeeded in blending the family them and me together. The boys are excited about Saffire coming here but I know the boys and bekeive they have been thru enough. To bring another boy into our home....and he is a troubled young man....would change the dynamis of the family in what I beleive would be a dramaticcly negative way. ANYWAY that is enough for now! My heart is being torn in two but my grandaughter is who really matters in all of this. Please say your prayers for me today that things will work out OK Thanks

Dorrie, I will say a prayer for you! I don't have any grandchildren, but a troubled son gives me fits. You gotta do what you think is best. A troubled grandson is something you don't need, I know. Your son, got himself in this mess and he needs to get himself out.
I have one in prison, and he likes to keep me churned up. It makes me sick to know the problems they can bring on theses days. I pray he gets himself out of all this before its to late. Sending you a big hug!  Best Wishes, Billie

Thanks Billie My son is 21. He is unemployed...a couch potato and a video/computer addict. He also has drug issues. He is so not motivated and today feels I am to blame for all of his issues in life!

Wow Dorrie, you have your plate full.
It is wonderful that you are able to take in the girl....how old is she? What will become of the brother? What is his age? You can do only what you can do. You are doing well..continue to protect your family and stop taking his calls for awhile if you must. hang in there. ((((HUGS)))) bizi
