i couldn't resist getting on the scale.
lost 2 lbs. today has been a good day so far.

i've gotten a lot done in my apt.
i've kept working on taking things out of my drawers/closet and just leaving
spring stuff. so far so good but i've been pushing hard.

i still have to walk but need to get off my feet for a bit.
i got my mri reports that i requested from the hospital.
the brain is stable and unchanged from last yr. wa hoo
and no enhancement
i have lesions in the deep white matter and the corpus callosum.

the c-spine:
is basically unchanged from last yr except:
C6-7 has disc protrusion that contacts the front aspect of the cord. this appears larger than on the prior exam.

so, i'll have to make an appt for a f/u with my neurosurgeon and let him tell me what he thinks. i'm not really stressed out about this...yet.

monday it's going to snow here. i'm going to have to move my car into the garage. i'll call the office tomorrow to get the guys to help me up the stairs.
i just don't want to leave the car out there in the snow. i can't clean it off.

well, that's enuf for one day. hope you're all having a good wk/e.

Good girl, dear Judy. Do you think this means that you won't be able to put off a surgery anymore?

Ouch...I don't start anything...can't finger this on me...thinking of a name for Sandy (Alphappy?)

Hi Judy! Well, you sound pretty darn good. I'm glad your MRI's were pretty stable. One day at a time is all we can do. Hope you don't get any more snow. Yuck! Our snow is all gone except a few remnants left over from the huge piles we had. My yard actually has grass!!!

Have a good day Judy. I'm sick right now w/a nasty cold or whatever. I want Winter over with. This is the 3rd cold I've had plus a bronchitis....
*insert major BIG whine*

Catch up w/you later my huggy wuggy friend..

Judy, it's good to hear about your MRI! Like Daisy, I hope your snow is mild. I see grass and blocks of ice in my yard. Remnants of melting snow and cold again.

I hope you don't need surgery right now and will say a prayer that your surgeon thinks the same. Did I ever tell you that my mom's neurosurgeon looks like the dentist on Desperate Housewives? lol

Hey Judy! Do you know that song "The Beat Goes On" by the Kings which merges into "Switchin' to Glide"? Well, I was flipping through the internet and thought about you and this thread when I heard the song! haha

It has a lyric in it that goes like this:

Hey Judy, get Trudy
You said to call you up if I was feeling moody
Hey little Donna, still wanna
You said to ring you up if I was in Toronto

I have lots of friends that I can ding at any time
Can mobilize some laughs with just one call
Like a bunch of lunatics we'll act till way past dawn
Sure we'll be rockin' till our strength is gone
Yeah This Beat Goes On.

It's the little things that can amuse me but I couldn't pass up telling you about it at 11:42pm. They were on American Bandstand. Here is the youtube link: The Kings

weight stable this am. still need to lose 1 lb of the 3 i gained but i'm not consumed about this.

PT kicked my butt this am. i hope to walk after dinner.

i made an appt with the neurosurgeon to check my disc on the 31st.
i'm not too worried about that either. but best to have it checked.

nothing else much new. i came home and took a nice nap and i feel better.

dearest DM. i hope you're feeling better.
i hope for you that the winter will be over and lovely springtime will take over. may the sun shine over your head and make you well.

cindy, how are you? what have you been up to? are you getting any sun?

Hey, Judy, you beat me here. I'm glad you're stable and I'm glad you'll be letting the neurosurgeon give you an opinion on that scan. I know that you don't want another surgery, but if it will get a little life back for you, it might be worthwhile.

I don't know whether you caught it, but Earl had his reconstructive spinal work done last week and they are pretty sure he will walk again, even if aided. That's pretty remarkable.

I'm not that great, not horrible, just having a super hard time moving, moving at all. It's getting difficult for me and I'm pretty scared right now. Don't worry, I might get lucky and get run over by a truck tomorrow.

Judy, glad you enjoyed the video. And yes I am old enough for AB. I still hear the song in my head haha. I also watched Soul Train for the dancing haha.

Did you get a lot of snow Judy? It was sleeting here. Yuck

Cindy, I am sorry your having trouble. But stop talking that way. What if you did get hit by a truck tomorrow? Then we would have to sit and talk about how you KNEW it was your time and all that jazz.

As soon as spring comes maybe you'll start to feel better too. I'll say a little prayer to help.

Daisy, how are you doing today? Did you get snow, rain and then sleet too?
