yeah, confusing isn't it cindy.
let's just give a # already.
then i may be a bit more accountable.

when i lost the 40 lbs i was at 183.
i had gotten to 201.
lost the 2 and i'm 199.
trying to get to 195.

so...
i'm off to an appt tho now.
then having lunch with friend. late BD lunch. italian. i'll try to be good.
and i always get something i can take home the balance for dinner.

i'll check in later.

well. i really spilled the beans this time. let me hit submit before i change my mind.

Hi Judy! We are getting that stupid snow later this week too. I absolutely hate this! Spring hurry up please. Good to hear the weight is stable.

Get this, I was talking to my son who is a PE major and was asking him how I could stop eating bad, stop drinking sugar and still gain weight. He asked me if I was working out and I said yes. That turd head told me I wasn't working out enough! He says I should be working out enough to sweat and if I am not sweating, I am not working out. UGH, where is the love? He's like a personal trainer that I am afraid of when he comes home! lol

Well, Judy~ You were honest and I have to give you kudo's for that. Those first 2 lbs gained very easily turn into 4, 6, 8 and so forth.

It's hard for me to say what you did or didn't or should or shouldn't do. It's something w/in you that has to give. I have a baby brother who struggles every single day of his life w/his wt. He is disgusted w/himself b/c he'll lose 10 and put 12 back on. I wish I had a magic answer or maybe a magic wand.

Your dear friend is coming soon and you need to focus on having a great time w/her. You have had a trying Winter and deserve a lil fun. Just try to remember some of your good habits. You know how much I care about you.

Let Sandy work out for ya... She needs it according to her DS> ha!

Oh and Sandy, when I was a trainer at Curves, they taught us it's heart rate and I always had my heart rate up w/o sweating, so I'll bet your fine. You're moving and that's what counts. Besides, if I remember right, your'e a lil thang!.

Have a good evening all.

Ok, just for Maryann. I am going to lay my truths out. I am 5'4", weigh 143-145 lbs and out of shape. My cholesterol and trigs are so high I need meds and my eating habits in the past were for carp. My mother and my father had heart attacks at the age of 49, my grandma, a stroke and cancer before 70.

I have almost stopped smoking and the weight stays. I not only want to lose 10-15 lbs, but want to get in shape and change the family history. The reason for losing the lbs is to lower my cholesterol and start to live healthier and make better choices. I have to live and stay healthy for Jim. It's as simple as that.

I know I am not what people would consider overweight. But I haven't been living healthy which is just as dangerous. My mom and dad were not overweight but lived nonhealthy lives. I have to say it is this thread that keeps me from grabbing that sweet tea, cookies or chocolate on a daily basis. I do allow one cheat day for Jim and I though. Otherwise I think I would fall over without my chocolate fix. :-)

HELP ME!!!! LOL

Well, this is turning into a "cleansing of the soul" thread, which is GOOD! See Judy~~ what goes on here, does count.

Sandy~ I'm glad that you are taking steps to b/c healthier for Jim and for YOU. I have days where I am the poster child for healthy eating and then there are times, that well.... I am bad. I gave up milk chocolate, but still need my Doves Dark Secrets every day. I'm proud of you for limiting the choccy. That's hard to do.

I have heart disease and CA in my family too. plus every ancestor right down to my Dad had Type 2 diabetes. I love sweets, so know I should watch that better than I do.

I still believe that exercise of any kind is good. I use an Urban Rebounder and love it. It's the first piece (and I've had them all) of equip that I actually USE. It's fun and good for my Osteop.

Well, I really like the way this thread is pulling us to admit our faults, yet gives the desire to do better.

Thanks for sharing Sandy and just take one day at a time. That's all any one of us can do, right Judy~ wudy.

So, here's a TWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET for you all.

Wow, I feel like I'm in line at the Catholic confessional. Carp! It's my turn!

Okay, I'm basically in total atrophy at this point and having a hard time moving much. So, yesterday, I actually got out a pair of my fatgirl jeans because my slimmer ones were just too tight. I think I'm smack-dab in the middle of the two sizes.

You guys have talked me into it, I'm going to get the Ab Lounge and see if I can get on and off it without breaking anything. I have no abs, so this should be interesting. I haven't really done anything but maintain for so long, now I'm starting again and I hope I can dissipate some of this flab and maybe even discover a waistline. I'm big in the gut and small in the butt, so these jeans look like a potato sack on me.

Let's get moving, people!

Cindy, gosh darnit! I wish I had known you wanted a Ab lounge. I just gave mine away to the skinny teenagers next door. See, I loved my Ab Lounge but it durn near broke my back. I thought it would be cool to try and do a back bend in it and threw my back out. So, word of advice, don't try that at home!

I just found out that Comcast has an exercise On Demand channel! I turned one on yesterday, dancing, and boy was I getting it! Then this crazy woman decides it would be funny to change up the routine and she was all over the screen! I looked like a jumping hyena (sp) trying to keep up! So, I quickly turned her craziness off and found a lady who walks a mile everyday, something you can do in the house. We got along great! I kept up and by the end she was sweating more than me lol.

So, if any of you have Comcast with On Demand check out Exercise Tv. They have walking, jogging, yoga, stretching, abs, etc. I even bought a ball and plan to try out some pilates. Did I mention the programs are free?

Thanks for sharing everyone. It really does make me feel good that none of you laughed at me and said I didn't need to change my nasty habits.

LOL, Sandy, I didn't even know that I wanted one. I saw a commercial for it and wondered if it's something I could do. I asked my PT and he said that it might be good and also help my hip flexors which are in peril. He wants me to use my arms and legs a lot with it, so we'll see how long it takes me to reach that size 2.

you guys have been busy bees...zzzzz....while i've been away.
sandy. i commiserate with you.
i started this whole thing when i saw myself going down the same path as my dad. i really felt i was going to die from poor health.

i have to keep reminding myself that my struggle isn't just for weight alone but to keep me healthy.

i really admire you for working hard to do the same thing. it's not easy.

my dearest DM. i know you love your pizza but chocolate too??? my my.
those would be my weaknesses too if i allowed myself.

cindy. i hope this new plan works for you. being between sizes is frustrating.
you could be a skinny butt but that's taken, na, na

NOW LET'S GET A MOVE ON PEOPLE...GO! GO! GO! ahem...that's all.

my weight is stable. at least i've kept the 2 lbs off.
so far i've walked every day this month.
i'll be a busy bee til cathy comes next wed.

just trying on some clothes and deciding what to bring will be tiring so i can't leave it for the day before. need to pace myself and conserve energy. name of the game.

thanks for all your sharing and input. it helps me too to keep working hard.
