Talking thirsty thursday

Dear donna, am sorry that your asthma is bad tonight....
sounds like you are doing well in portion control that is great!
Do watch out for the sugary drinks the fruit juices are straight sugar.
I have heard to not waste our calories on any drinks.
save them for real food.
We use a lite cranberry juice to add a bit of flavor to water for dinner, I drink coffee with splenda or plain water for meals. It is alot cheaper also.
tonight was a big fall off, 5 short bread cookies, 4 small butter finger candy bars. jsut still trying to get rid of all of the stuff...i know that I should just throw it away.....hangs head...starteds off well fish and veggies for supper than the sweets called my name....

I gave up jogging because my thighs kept rubbing together
and setting my pantyhose on fire.....lol

ROFL about the jogging! This is day 6 of the diet....and I haven't cheated!
I have discoverd the joy of sugar free popsicles...takes time to eat them and like sugar free jello..they are very satisfying.

I hope today is better for you Donna.

And as far as the cravings going away...It really didn't bother me to watch Mr.Alffe eat three rolls with dinner last night.

*whisper...he's too big to hold underwater.

oh bizi and Alffie.... Hope you don't mind my commenting here, but I just roared when I read your posts.

I think it's so cool that you find humor in your journey to wt loss. You guys are so funny. I have taken to drinking flavored water instead of so much soda. And, I love the 40 calorie fudgesicles. Seems to help w/the chocolate cravings I have.

Yup, chocoholic here.

Smile

Bought the already cut up and ready veggies, salad geens, shrimp, and fish to broil yesterday. Ate scrambled eggs with very small amount of good cheese, for breakfast.
I'm in and hopefully on my way.
I will never have a skinny butt! Don't want one either. I only want to get healthy food into my body and feel better. Oh yeah, want to lose weight too! froggie

Lunch tuna and veggies.

Breakfast..6 oz V8 juice, 1/2 cup liquid eggs w/dillweed, 2 slices of turkey bacon

Lunch: at a Mediteranian Restaurant..taboulli, baba ganou, garlic paste and pita bread (diet book said it's ok)

afternoon snack....low fat mozarella stick

I micro wave the turkey bacon and have learned that if you cook it for more than 1 1/2 min. it tastes exactly like cardboard.

did your mother never tell you not to eat cardboard?
did you eat paste in school too?

dinner:

pecan crusted chicken strips. i dipped the cut up chicken breasts in seasoned egg whites. (i make my own salt free stuff and let them soak for about 5 miutes while i chop the pecans and mix up the dry stuff.) then dipped in bread crumbs and finely chopped pecans. baked on pans sprayed with pam.

baked sweet potatos. i nuke them in the microwave first until done. then put them in oven while the chicken is baking. they fall out of the skins. no butter needed. they are moist and sweet.

and big field green salad tossed with olive oil, lemon juice and black pepper.

about 10 minutes until done. wanna join me?
