Billie - have you tried the EmergenC stuff?
it's a fizzy super Vitamin C that you dump into a glass of water- plus you can choose flavors & it has other vitamins & minerals too.
We really like it to help or even head off a cold.
http://www.emergenc.com/

Alffe - my horsey can keep running as long as your frog keeps dancing LOL

might head out to some neighborhood garage sales today or tomorrow -I plan to get lots of walking in that way
maybe I'll find a good deal on a treadmill or elliptical

Happy Friday!!

THE GOOD NAPKINS ... Ahhhhh ... The joys of having Girls .... My mother taught
me to read when I was four years old (her first mistake). One day, I was in the
bathroom and noticed one of the cabinet doors was ajar. I read the box in the
cabinet. I then asked my mother why she was keeping ''napkins' in the bathroom. Didn't
they belong in the kitchen? Not wanting to burden me with unnecessary facts, she
told me that those were for 'special occasions' (her second mistake). Now fast
forward a few months.....It's Thanksgiving Day, and my folks are leaving to pick up my
uncle and his wife for dinner. Mom had assignments for all of us while they were
gone. Mine was to set the table. When they returned, my uncle came in first and
immediately burst into laughter. Next came his wife who gasped, then began giggling.
Next came my father, who roared with laughter. Then came Mo m, who almost died of
embarrassment when she saw each place setting on the table with a 'special occasion'
Kotex napkin at each plate, with the fork carefully arranged on top. I had even
tucked the little tail in so they didn't hang off the edge!! My mother asked me why
I used these and, of course, my response sent the other adults into further fits
of laughter. 'But, Mom, you said they were for special occasions!!!' Pass this on
to your girlfriends who need a good laugh or anyone who has a daughter! Life is
too short for drama & petty things, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and
forgive quickly....and for heavens sake, use the good napkins whenever you can!

The seared tuna was on some salad greens with a bit of an asian dressing, the tuna was cooked medium alittle pink in the center.
I actually danced a bit last night instead of sitting and enjoying the music I got up.
It was alot of fun!
Billie, am sorry that you are feeling so poorly....wish you could go today so you might feel better sooner.
Froggie,
Great news about you and hubby!!!!!
Alffe, how were those eggs? and why the fake ones? Do you mean egg beaters or another brand?

Arrow water break time!!

drink some ICE water and burn calories.

http://www.howstuffworks.com/question447.htm

So in the case of a 16-ounce glass of ice water, your body must raise the temperature of 473.18 grams of water from zero to 37 degrees C. In doing so, your body burns 17,508 calories. But that's calories with a little "c." Your body only burns 17.5 Calories, and in the grand scheme of a 2,000-Calorie diet, that 17.5 isn't very significant.

But let's say you adhere to the "eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day" nutritional recommendation. In 64 ounces of water, there are 1,892.72 grams. So to warm up all that water in the course of a day, your body burns 70,030 calories, or 70 Calories. And over time, that 70 Calories a day adds up. So, while you definitely shouldn't depend on ice water consumption to replace exercise or a healthy diet, drinking cold water instead of warm water does, in fact, burn some extra Calories!

I love ice water...drinking it as I sit here. Bizi I had egg beaters...your dad calls them chemical eggs. And I throw a little fat free feta cheese in the omlet..it's better than turkey bacon.

Hi everyone, Gaye encouraged me to come in and say hi. Hi Gaye

Still working in the weight loss but since we have a new name I am going to call it "healthy living"

So much excitement around here how can I stay away???

I drink ice water all day long--I should be stick thin hee hee hee I have a very bad habit of chewing ice so I love a giant cup of water with some ice to chomp on...Sue
