Hey Kel...I stalled for about two months...then all of sudden it started
going back down again. I think the key is to stay patient and dont
start eating like crazy when you get impatient(that would be me) and
eventually it will start dropping again.

By the way, I think that 48 pounds IS amazing too!!!!

Very best wishes to you and yours this holiday season Kelly.

Default cloths

Better reconsider bringing warmer cloths to fla. Our winters are getting colder. We have 40 this a.m. and it gets down into the 30's. You do need all of your winter cloths, even if it is a shorter duration. Summers are extra hot. ginnie I live on an Island on the west coast of fla.

Good morning! Kitty, I have not heard of that, thanks! I am so worried when Jim and I quit smoking that I will re-gain my weight. Keep fingers crossed! Our plan to stop is after the holidays.

Here's the link I got the recipe from. It takes a little bit of tweaking to get the right cooking time for your particular microwave but once you get it....it's really good. And healthy!

I saw butter flavored popcorn oil next to the regular popcorn and I'm sure it would work, too, and be good.....but not as calorie friendly. I just use Smart Balance spray......it works!

I need to get back on track. I've gained four pounds.

It's so much easier for me to diet in the spring and summer when fresh fruits and summer veggies are abundant.

My bread machine is on a little vacation......

i watch Ina Garten on Food Network a lot. she does any veggie. you put it on a sheet pan. put some EVOO over them, then some salt and pepper and mix them up with your hands. then roast in the oven. i think about 400 for 25-30 min's.

sounds good but i've never tried it yet.

I love to watch The Barefoot Contessa. I enjoy just about any of the shows on The Food Network. I watch it and then I'm hungry!

i went to see my new (FL) opthamologist yesterday.
he said he sees some evidence of diabetes. and said that even if my BS's were very well controlled he'd see it. i can't remember what he saw tho. i asked for a copy of his dictation.

then, he said he saw evidence of MS. again, i can't remember what. but, it's not ON. i've been having some slight visual disturbances in both eyes. white matter disease... oh joy.

then i went to the cardiologist. will these dr visits ever stop?
i had 2 more episodes of the arrythmias. it's so distressing because it feels like a bird is flapping it's wings in my chest. i have pain and earaches and i get short of breath. so far we havn't been able to catch it on a monitor. at least my BP was normal.

they put me on another monitor yesterday. this one will be a 30 day one.
so i've been feeling sorry for myself.
but, in the office yesterday there was a young woman with her mom.
i heard enuf of the conversations to know she had a bad blockage in her heart. they were sending her for a stat angiogram. plus she's diabetic and has lost some toes.

there by the grace of God go i.
there's always someone worse off. i say my blessings.
