I am a mess....I am all obcessed with refinancing our mortgage...currently at 6.625% and we can get it for 4.35% but will cost us in closing costs etc. any body know about stuff like this, rate lock in...have 30 days right?
anyway I have been on this computer researching rates and loans and companies......
I have made myself sick.
hours on the computer.
With my families help, I found out that my neice got engaged but her fiance is leaving for afganistan in a couple of weeks, he is a marine.
So they are scared and worried about him. Please keep Jake in your thoughts.
I am heading to bed.....
I hope I can sleep.

This sounds right.
Regarding the lock. Sometimes they charge you a fee after the lock in case you want the chance to get a lower rate.


This might sound strange, but the details from one good mortgage to another don't matter too much -- what they take from one place they add to another. So what we did was find two banks and compare -- just two. We went with the one that was literally nicer to me on the phone -- it was a lot of work and I wanted a nice team.
Also, we went with the team that was in town so we could take stuff into the office instead of dealing 100% with the emails and the faxes.

and I went a head and refinanced our house thru our existing mortgage company. 10 years at 4.25% making extra payments we could have it payed off in 7 1/2 years!!!!! that would be fantastic!That means we would have our house paid off before our student loans....ugh!
My goal is to be completly debt free in 10 years. I would love to be able to scream on the dave ramsey show:
"I am debt free!"
