If we could just funnel this over to texas that would be dandy.
Our neighbor has a dead tree that may fall on us..we just put together a letter to send to her. Several limbs have already fallen on our property and damaged a bit of our shed. may have to take her to small claims court. Our home owners insurance only covers wind damage after we pay a $3,100 deductible...ouch!
We shall see what mother nature has in store for us.

That looks like a bad storm. It's covering the Gulf of Mexico. I hope that you will be alright. BF

Good luck, ladydeedee.

Sorry you had to manage without for so long.
Showering after all that sounds great.

Question T.S.--or maybe not?

Oh, bizi, I hope you're wrong about the tropical storm in the gulf. I understood it couldn't organize because of wind sheer from the west. I heard about lots of rain on the north shore, but no other tropical characteristics.

Yep, other parts of the country sure could use it more.

Do you remember the guy who wanted to drag icebergs from the North Pole to desert countries in the Middle East? This was in the nineties, before the arctic started disappearing.

Anyway, now that I'm having to leave my beloved New Mexico, we're neighbors--only a gulf apart!

Heart

Oh, bizi, my heart sank when I got word a couple hrs ago. Thought of you immediately. Knew the storm was strengthening because the clouds & storms building here were suddenly beginning to move west out to sea when I was releasing birds this dawn.

It was in the 80s here yesterday too. I got the soup kettle out last night. I love soup.I looove LVE Soup Weather!!!!

I sure hope this T.S. loses its bluster as fast as it got it.

We had a big thunderstorm this morning. All ,or most of the storms in the last year, and a half have been big. Big thunderstorms, snowstorms, tornados, and now hurricanes, and massive tropical storms.

Bizi I hope that you will be safe. BF

dear Bizi

i hope Lee Leeves as fast as he appeared... and perhaps before arriving by you... be safe.

argh about the rotten neighbors with their rotten attiude about their rotten tree. can the cops authorize someone to come out and cut down any clearly unhealthy treeparts that pose a danger to your property esp in view of the storm... even if it is their tree?

this is a 70+ feet pine tree...that has been losing branches for the past month...every time there is a strong wind we hear "whacks"...we wonder is it our shed or our neighbors building. You are allowed to cut off any thing that hangs over your property.
The storm is moving slowly....we have had a light drizzle for about 5 hours here. Will have to wait and see how things pan out.
