Hi,
This is for everyone thinking cool thoughts today. M http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/o...l/c16b14f7.jpg |
Today was the hottest day so far. It was 102 degrees for several hours.(Saturday) It's 1:59 AM,and 84 degrees on Sunday morning.
This kind of weather usually brings massive black clouds after a while, and a cold front moves through. I hope that it's not a bad storm. Thank you for the Ice picture Mari. BF:hug::hug::hug: |
In the normal typically cooler Pocono's it has been miserable. 90's all week. Friday it was 95* with unbearable humidity and that was a cooler day. It rained all around us, big storms just missed us but took out the power for about 5 hrs. We have a generator so the son was able to hook it up to both homes. His poor gold fish Big Boy was not happy. I was tempted to take a straw and blow bubbles in for him.
DS showed me a back up battery system in case the power goes off how to hook the tank up. I am little concerned when we travel though now and would not know the power was off. I think we need to take him to a tank at our house so someone knows and can help Big Boy. This Gold fish was from a Fair last year and has to be about 7 in long, It reminds me of some fish I have caught in my life. lol. Keep cool BF, hope things cool off for all of us this week like they are saying. I put the 4' pool up for the kids and even with sunscreen I am getting so dark on my arms. Need sun block that is stronger on them. di |
At 3:40 PM,it was 106 degrees where I live. My thermometer is stingy. I've heard allot of temperatures in the 106-116 degrees range, and I figured that some of this was hype,or equipment error. My sensor is in the shade. How can it be 106 degrees at 3:40 PM in Virginia? We are in a severe thunderstorm watch mode. If it happens,we my see some hail, black clouds, and wind gusts. My NOAA alert radio just sounded off. We have a severe thunderstorm headed to the Southeast. I am in the Southeast of that location. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Its been over 106 in Indiana were I live for the last week, till today. From 12 noon, till probably 6 or 8pm. The humidity has made it 120 or higher. Today everyone, thanks for your prayers, its been 85, it was supposed to be I believe 90, but it didn't make it. I am so pleased with today. See I was taking Derrick to help set up for his camp volunteering this week. We have never been home so he could help. So he really wanted to help this year. So he got too. It also rained, Yippee. He had a great time, I saw my PT there. And got to tell her how great i"m doing. Donna:grouphug::hug: |

Yep very hot. My son's have window AC and they were hot houses in some rooms. One son took my husband's advice and bought two more fans.
I'm so glad his lady was getting so sick in their rooms with out AC. I was getting worried. When we went on vacation we told them to use our house. And luckily the one that gets sick I believe did, but it could have been the other son, and his son. We aren't sure, it really doesn't matter. Just glad someone used it. But I was getting worried, I don't handle that heat well. And Derrick starts volunteering for Camp Wack tomorrow, But its nicer now. So its going to be okay for me. We did the set up or he did and I got to see our friends. Well at least if you can call PT's and OT's and SLp's friends. I can, and I love it. Heehee, And talk to them. He got to have a mouse run under his feet. Ugh, glad it wasn't me. They put up tents, he had a great time, they treat him as a equal, its so nice. Donna:grouphug: |
