Thumbs up diet thread.....

ok
So I find out today that my cholesterol is 247 which is high even though my HDL is high...so need to find out how my triglycerides are...hopefully they will fax me the results tomorrow.
I am going to start dieting and eating right and getting into shape.
who wants to join me? (as soon as all of my beer is gone)

One of his gym friends lost weight on it so hubby wants to do it.

I am throwing away all of the let over chocolate from christmas...not much of a sacrifice becasue I do not like the ones left but get them out of the fridge! I am going back to eating at subway(so I can put lots of veggies on my sandwich) so I can count exactly the calories in my lunches. Mcdonalds also has a good grilled chicken ceasar salad with vinegrette low calorie dressing, I am going to try to watch my carb intake and make sure that I get enough protein to keep me satisfied. Yes the south beach diet is a good diet!
I will be joining our local gym soon.....

I don't know what my ratio is...they have changed their standards and don't use the ratio anymore. So what used to be fine for years for me because of my high HDL is no longer fine...which doesn't make sense to me...hoping that they fax me my results today.

Hi,

I've been doing Weight Watchers on-line off and on.
Today I slept all day and just got up.

Here is my "breakfast"
1. a few nuts (ground so as to not mess up the braces)
2. one huge bowl of lettuce (one bag)
3 a little bit of salad dressing
4. left over turkey soup with mostly broth
